Benefits of Induction Cooktops:

  • Speed- It simply takes less time to cook food because the pan heats up quicker.
  • Energy Efficiency- Induction cooking would be more efficient than gas and electric . A gas flame is going to release lots of heat around the pan, and an electric burner emits radiant heat. When heat is generated within the pan itself, as with induction, more of that heat gets to the food, and less of it warms up your kitchen. The most obvious result of this increased energy efficiency is reduced energy consumption, meaning lower power bills. You won't sweat as much when you cook.
  • Safety- It typically doesn't get all that hot, since the heat is created in the pan itself.

Tayama Induction Cooker with Cooking Pot, Black

SM15-16A3

Tayama induction cooker 1500 watts with free cooking pot. Induction cooking uses less energy and provides practically instant heat and since there are no open flames or hot coils, is safer to use than conventional burners. It allows for instant control of cooking energy for precise cooking control. Induction cooktops are designed to be used with ferromagnetic material like cast iron, steel, enameled cast iron, enameled steel or stainless steel. If a magnet sticks to your cookware, it will work on an induction cooktop. When a ferromagnetic cookware is placed on the ceramic surface, currents are induced in the cookware and instant heat is generated due to the resistance of the pan. The magnetic properties of the steel in the cookware will concentrate the induced current and generate heat. Once cookware is removed, all molecular activity ceases. Heat is generated at the cookware only so the cooktop stays cool. Will not work with aluminum, copper or glass cookware. ETL certified.

How Induction Cooktops Work

When you turn on the burner, an electric current runs through the coil, generating a fluctuating magnetic field, but no heat on the burner itself. However, once you set an iron or stainless steel pan on the burner, the magnetic field induces many smaller electric currents in the pan's metal.

In Order To Use This and Any Other Induction Cooktops, You Need to Have the Right Kind of Cookware

Cooktop is compatible with cast iron, steel, enameled cast iron, enameled steel or stainless steel. If a magnet sticks to your cookware, it will work on an induction cooktop.
